  Nicholas Choghlan was a former teacher in St George's College (School House; French/Spanish; 1978-81). Since he leaving St G's he taught in Canada, then joined the Canadian foreign service; he retired from his position as Canadian Ambassador to South Sudan in 2016. In between postings, Mr. Coghlan and his wife Jenny sailed from Cape Town to British Columbia, via Cape Horn; St G's features in Chapter One of this book, they made a brief call (one evening) to St G's in the course of that voyage but have not otherwise been back.
«Chapter One is largely about St G's, and among illustrations are ones that show John Taylor (on Lanin), another with Gina Robertson and Jennifer von Wachter at an asado at the Quilmes campus. Although I haven't seen Gina in all those years, a couple of times we have stayed with her Uncle Peter Robertson in the Falklands/Malvinas; his wife is a Northlands grad», said the author.
