Placa de bronce traída por Mr Cuff (Headmaster del St. Geroge's College 1938-1940), perteneciente al colegio fundado por éste, en Hurlingham, con el nombre de Capt. Lawrence Oates. Cuando fue nombrado Headmaster del San Jorge trajo a sus 30 alumnos y los incorporó a la institución.
La placa en ese momento fue colocada en la pared exterior de un galpón que estaba en el lugar que ocupa el actual teatro del Centenario, momento en que fue demolido.
